Pocock's the artmonger holds about four exhibitions per year either in the gallery or sometimes a little further afield but at other times the gallery is open and full of stock!
There have been two exhibitions of the work of Norfolk's adopted son, artist Robert Sargent Austin RA, one of which was held in his former studio in 'The Chapel' at Burnham Overy Staithe to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of his death in September 2013. It represented his broad talent in watercolour, engraving, illustration and graphic design with works for sale assembled from four Private Collections and was larger than the Royal Academy Exhibition of his work a few years earlier.
The gallery is now established as a dealer in work by Austin.
Tracey Ross joined the fold at the beginning of 2015 with her beautifully textural mixed media paintings sometimes selling before they could be hung! Her unique take on North Norfolk is really refreshing and the exhibition of her work in June '15 filled the gallery with energy and colour. There are always pieces by her at the gallery.
Melanie Max is now a regular exhibitor at the gallery and the exhibition of her oils in the Summer of 2018 was very well
received. Her treatment of the unique light of the North Norfolk light is quite remarkable.
Andy English is well known in the world of wood engravings for his amazingly detailed pieces. He has illustrated many books and there is always a selection of his work at the gallery.
Pamela Noyes, now over 90, is still painting her wonderfully vigorous large paintings and smaller pastels and is represented by Pocock's the artmonger.
Nigel Turner's paintings in watercolour and oil of lobsters, crabs and shells must grace the wall of many houses over the country but particularly Norfolk. He has also now branced out into Abstracts which are stuctural and intense.
Sara Reavell Dyson shows regularly with the gallery and held a successful exhibition here in 2017. Her work in watercolour is delicate and sensitive.
Other exhibitions have included:
'SIR HUGH CASSON - Drawings of Venice and Greece'
'VENICE and LONDON', 19th, 20th and Contemporary artists interpretation of these two magnificent cities.
Watercolours and Illustrations by KATHLEEN HALE OBE, the creator of 'Orlando - The Marmalade Cat'.
'GLIMPSE of EMPIRE' An exhibtion by the artmonger at Holkham Hall of the photographs taken by 2nd Lord Leicester's Grand Daughter, Lilah Wingfield of childhood holidays at the Hall and the facinating record of her visit to India for the Royal Durbar in 1911.
